Butter Lovers Rejoice! Herb Butter and Green Garlic Butter.

Just in my last post I spoke about the complexity of simplicity. I think this spread is a perfect example of it. Just plain, softened butter, serenaded with Herbs, or alternatively finely ground Green Garlic and Parsley. I don't think this even needs a recipe! But I will try.

Herb Butter/ Green Garlic Butter
Serves as many or as little as you like!
Recipe: Self 
For the Herb Butter:
250 gm Butter, softened.
1/2 Cup chopped Herbs (I used Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Sage, Mint, Oregano)

For the Garlic Butter:
250 Butter, softened.
10 sprigs of Green Garlic
1/4 Cup chopped Parsley leaves


Herb Butter :

Simply beat all ingredients together and store in a container. I piped out rosettes and let them harden in the refrigerator before putting them into a container and storing them in the refrigerator. Got come piping bag practice :P

Green Garlic Butter :

Grind the Parsley and Green Garlic together with 4 tbsp Butter, and pass it through a sieve. mix with rest of the butter and store as desired.

I shared these rosettes with my friends and family and everyone loved them! Just some simple additions can take something so plain to a different level altogether. I have tried the butter with Dosas, Rice, and even on crackers but I recommend serving it with warm Toast/Bread.
